Le Rivage is a family tradition with quality passed down through three generations. The Denamiels, who commanded and the menu and kitchen at Café Du Soir, moved to Restaurant Row in 1984, establishing this current French classic.

Le Rivage offers guests a cozy, romantic, French country atmosphere where traditional French cuisine is expertly prepared for your pleasure. Fresh flowers embellish each table every day. The kitchen is run by Paul Denamie, a Culinary Institute of America graduate, who has taken classic French cuisine and infused it with some fresh ideas. Canard a L'Orange - roast duck with an orange sauce and a triple sec liquor - and Crevettes Maison - shrimp sauteed with onions, mushrooms, & a red wine sauce - are two signature dishes that have become extremely popular with patrons. Every dish that leaves the kitchen receives the chef’s complete attention.

The wine selection at Le Rivage is extensive and features mostly French wines, both by the bottle and by the glass. All are reasonably priced.

With prices that are delightfully affordable, and an incredibly rewarding list of selections, Le Rivage is a true bargain in the heart of the Theater District.
