Kent Monkan, one of the most talented chefs on Long Island, proudly welcomes you to his third restaurant, The Wild Goose.  A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, Kent gained notoriety when the restaurant he worked in earned four stars by The New York Times.   He continues his gastro pub theme with a varied menu of bar plates, small plates, soups and salad, sandwiches, pastas, and full entrees.  A dozen beers on tap, creative cocktails, and a carefully selected, reasonably priced wine list are enjoyed by the many regulars who frequent his restaurants.

The contemporary design is light and bright from the floor to ceiling glass walls at the front, high ceilings, a dramatic brick wall, and a striking black granite and leather bar with mirror treatments.   Grey and brown wood throughout add warmth, and black and white photos, and a goose-themed painting add an artistic touch.

Customer satisfaction is the important thing to Kent and he prepares every dish with passion using the freshest ingredients.

The Wild Goose is located across from the Port Washington train station which makes it convenient to relax and enjoy dinner and drinks on your way home.  Visit Kent's other restaurants, The Brass Rail 107 Forest Avenue, Locust Valley, 516-723-9103 and Heirloom Tavern, 32 Railroad Avenue, Glen Head, 516-686-6633.
