With all the warmth of country charm, La Ginestra has been serving Italian Sicilian favorites for 30 years. Owners Gus and Enzo attribute their success to that fact that they both have a love and passion for what they do. Situated in a lovely old house, the restaurant a golden yellow color scheme, graceful curtains, comfortable banquettes, beamed ceiling, wall sconce lighting, brick treatments and lots of rustic wood. Old family photos from relatives in Sicily are displayed and add a homey touch.
Chef Enzo prides himself on his recipes, reminiscent of his childhood. Specials change everyday, depending on what is freshest in the market. Signature dishes include salmon carpaccio, Long island salad, cold seafood salad, organic beet salad, and eggplant parmigiana. House made tortelloni, swordfish siciiano are also specialties. House made biscotti are complimentary but don't pass up their other delicious desserts. Wines are mostly from Italy with some reserves and super Tuscans. Classic cocktails are popular here as well as champagne.
