Genuine Italian charm and classic Italian cuisine is what you can expect at this popular restaurant, a landmark for 25 years. A beautiful wood bar leads you into the main
dining room that is divided into two sections. Comfortable upholstered chairs, lace curtained French doors, subdued lighting from Mediterranean style wall sconces, and
candlelight and fresh flowers on every table, complete
the romantic, sophisticated atmosphere.
Established in 1980 by Pasquale Lubrano, it is now
operated by sons Carlo and Marco who grew up in the restaurant business. Marco heads the kitchen along with Israel Nuñez Santos, who has been at La Bussola for 12 years, and Carlo manages the dining room. Carlo and Marco’s brothers, Tony and John, manage the family’s other restaurants, Piccola Bussola in Huntington and Mineola, both family style versions of La Bussola, the original.
When you arrive a combination of warm brick oven, semolina and raisin fennel breads are at your table. Each dish is prepared to order using the finest ingredients. Signature dishes are Osso Bucco, Veal Chop a la Bussola, Red Snapper Livornese, Chicken Campagnola, and Lobster alla Fra Diavolo. Other favorites include an awesome stuffed artichoke cold seafood salad, piled high with
calamari, shrimp, clams and mussels, and specials like salmon with hazelnut crust. Homemade desserts are
luscious Italian cheesecake, Napoleon, and their incredible tiramisu. An exceptional wine list features selections from Italy, California and Chile. The professional waitstaff
who has been with the family for many years, know the customers and treat them like old friends.
You’ll receive a warm welcome from the owners and staff of this well established landmark serving authentic Italian cuisine. TASTING DINNERS; CORPORATE FUNCTIONS; ON
