Prime View is aptly named, for that's exactly what you'll get here; catch spectacular vistas of Mill Pond and Manhasset Bay through picture windows from just about every table in this lively restaurant. Owned by the Iavarone and Caputo families, they serve up New American cuisine with nods to their Italian heritage, Chef George Levendis' Greek background, as well as French and Asian influences.
Wood floors, a baby blue and white color scheme and a brick fireplace add warmth to the dining room in this historical building while flickering candles and illuminated vases filled with flowering branches bring a touch of romance. The Sunset Bar has a stories-high ceiling while an upstairs dining room encircled by plush banquettes is perfect for private parties.
The views are particularly breathtaking from the outdoor terrace, yet you can feast more than your eyes here. A beet and baby arugula salad is a refreshing and tasty starter. Meatball sliders are a perfect example of Prime View's creative cooking; the classic American dish takes on a distinctly Italian flavor and sleek look, served four across on a long platter. A waterfront eatery begs for exceptional seafood, and firm and fresh wild striped bass served with Israeli cous cous does not disappoint. Complement your meal with one of 14 wines by the glass or a bottle from Frank's extensive international wine list. Set your sights on the coffee and doughnuts from among the selection
of house made desserts. Light and airy zeppole-style confections are perfect for dipping in vanilla semifreddo spiked with espresso and topped with frothy steamed milk. Heavenly!
