La Pace has always been synonymous with fine Italian dining. With seasoned chef Michael Mossallam at the helm, the restaurant received rave reviews from The New York Times (“very good”) and Newsday (3 stars). And the customers love his food as well.
We delighted in a sensational meal starting with homemade cavatelli enhanced by a hearty roasted veal sauce, and crispy crab cakes accompanied by zesty corn and chili salsa. Our entrees were also delicious - exquisite fall-off-the-bone braised short ribs with creamy celeriac roots, and perfectly prepared calf’s liver with sherry wine vinegar. The heavenly dining experience continued with sweet selections from Chef Michael’s desserts which are displayed in the center of the dining room. The wine list is varied and the list of specialty drinks is plentiful.
Every detail was carefully crafted in creating the elegant open space. Green & gold fabric covered walls, magnificent brass chandeliers, plush carpeting, elaborate crown moulding, velvet drapes, fireplaces, impressive wine racks, glowing candles and fresh flowers complete the decor. You will be pampered by General Manager Miroslav Vlakancic and the staff, many of whom have been working here for years.
