Welcome to Portugal! Reminiscent of a restaurant in Lisbon, Lareira serves authentic Portuguese cuisine in a comfortable Mediterranean style setting.

Owners Adelio and Americo welcome you to their restaurant where, for the past 21 years, they have been serving the freshest food in generous portions to ensure customer satisfaction. And they are passionate about what they do.

Dinner began with dense Portuguese corn bread which is addictive. Our appetizers of clams and crab cakes were tasty samples from their extensive menu. Fresh fish is popular here, as it is in Portugal. Tilapia with shrimp and scallops in a lobster sauce was simply delicious. Chilean sea bass over diced shallots, sweet red peppers and capers was a harmonious blend of ingredients. Traditional Portuguese dishes like rabbit stew, goat stew, pork with clams, roast suckling pig and salt bacalhau are often specials of the day. The selection of wines is reasonably priced and mostly from Portugal. End your meal with flan, sweet cream caramel and espresso, and of course, a glass of Port.

The dining room is decorated in tones of burgundy and tan with prints depicting areas of Portugal and Portuguese arts and crafts. Archways, white stucco walls, woven basket light fixtures, a large model ship and a cozy fireplace add to the ethnic experience that you will enjoy at Lareira. There is also a separate bar room for more casual dining.
