After a triumphant opening, Kumo Sushi continues to impress. Now open for two years, the place is packed with satisfied diners thanks to their delicious food. Join the many loyal patrons at this beautiful, contemporary space done in rich wood and stone tiles that give off a shimmering golden glow. An update to the dining room includes the addition of dividers for a more intimate dining experience. As the sleek decor impresses the eye, so the food delights the palate.
Owners Louis Lin and Shirley Chi learned from their experiences working in top Japanese restaurants. Louis,
a sushi chef, creates an exhaustive array of specialty rolls, sushi bar appetizers, hot kitchen starters and cooked entrees. A new menu boasts even more creative appetizers; making a selection is not easy! We chose fresh, beautifully presented sashimi followed by an eggplant sandwich that layers deep-fried eggplant, spicy lobster, spicy tuna and salmon with mouth-watering results. Try slightly sweet tuna teriyaki with onions,
broccoli, carrots and corn. A large bowl of udon loaded with tender chicken, vegetables and soft noodles topped with a quail egg had two pieces of flaky shrimp tempura waiting on the side. Sweet red bean ice cream is even more delicious when fried in a crisp golden crust.
The sushi bar is long and lively with the chef’s non-stop culinary performance. An atmosphere of fun and excitement fills the dining room. Friendly servers make you feel at home whether it’s your first visit or you’ve been a customer since the beginning. Either way, you’re sure to return again and again.
