BobbiqueCuisine: Real Pit Barbeque
Avg. Check: $12-$25
Attire: Casual

Authentic barbecue is the result of cooking meat with smoke and heat from burning wood...look for the smoke ring. After a trip to Memphis, owner Eric Rifkin had a new calling. This culinary trained chef with a list of impressive credentials was going to be “Pit Master.” He opened a restaurant dedicated to barbecue, beer and blues and named it Bobbique after his 8 year old daughter Bobbi.
Casual and fun are emphasized here. BBQ free range chicken is moist with a dark golden skin. Dry rubbed St. Louis ribs are the juiciest ones around, and thin sliced or chopped Waygu brisket is fork tender. Pulled pork sandwich is piled high, topped with cole slaw, which is made from a family recipe. Sides, creamy mac and cheese, Southern pride baked beans with bacon, and collard greens are delectable accompaniments. For snacking, try extra crispy fried pickle chips and homemade corn bread. The bar is a lively place with the finest craft beer menu around - you’ll never be bored from the taps to the real cask to the large format bottles. Homemade desserts end your meal on a sweet note, so leave room. Apple caramel walnut pie, lincoln logs, pecan pie and Southern banana pudding are all superb.
The appealing decor is contemporary-industrial with corrugated metal sheets, exposed pipes and old brick. There’s a stage where blues bands perform every Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Come hungry and bring the family to this authentic BBQ where food is served on trays and there’s a roll of paper towels on every table.
