From the moment you walk through the doors, the staff, headed by General Manager Joseph Bruton, greets you in a warm and gracious way making you feel especially welcomed to this outstanding steak house. The grand space is handsome, elegant and sophisticated. The decor is a meld of stone and wood - dark wood floors, ceiling beams and treatments throughout the dining rooms. Stone carefully accents the rich wood. Upholstered chairs and oversized booths make for a comfortable dining experience in the softly lit rooms where candles flicker on all the crisp cloth covered tables.
The open kitchen is a hub of busy cooks under the watchful eye of Chef Chris Hammaty, preparing perfectly grilled prime steaks, fish, seafood, chicken and creative daily specials that are sublime. There’s also a sushi bar where sushi chef Yukio Hasui creates pristine sushi and sashimi. We enjoyed a sensational feast of an artistic presentation of Lobster Roll and Blackstone Roll, both with fresh flavors of seafood. We shared a sizzling T-Bone and seared rare tuna, slightly sweet with Mandarin oranges and a tasty Thai dipping sauce. Sides of creamed spinach and fries were excellent accompaniments but the eggplant and miso made with sake, soy and red peppers was amazing. Open the large menu to their wine list with more than 800 bottles that was complied by Sommelier Fabricio Carpio. In addition, there are martini and sake lists. The professional staff is well versed in all the lists and can guide you to make the right choice. Homemade desserts, courtesy of their pastry chef, are mouth-watering; Blackstone layer cake with rich chocolate mousse, ganache, praline crunch and caramel filling coated in dark chocolate is the best!
Special attention was paid to every detail when Blackstone was conceived - the decor, the high quality food and it’s expert preparation, and the bottom line... your wonderful gourmet dining experience at this steak house which is supervised by Long Island Premier restaurateur Anthony Scotto.
