Walk in to Bistro Citron and experience the ambiance and decor that will evoke images of a casual, yet intimate cafe on the Left Bank in Paris. Bistro Citron is a warm, unpretentious restaurant, where the food is as flavorful and exciting as the setting. The stained glass ceiling, Art Nouveau sconces, French doors and glass chandeliers evoke the spirit of Paris. There’s even a view of the serene Roslyn Silver Pond. Come to Bistro Citron for
a taste of France like authentic duck a l’orange, classic steak frites, and mussels mariniere and you too will enjoy “Vive le Difference!”
Though bistro fare is offered, there are also more complex dishes like Dorade a la Fenouli, a delicate fish with fennel, carrots and spinach in a light fennel sauce; and Salmon de Printemps, a colorful dish with carrots, snow peas, turnips and mushrooms with a green herb dressing. Mussels, served in an individual-sized copper cauldron are offered in white wine and garlic broth, tomato, garlic and basil or garlic and oil with a touch of Pernod and cream. An extensive wine list includes fine reserves, champagne and dessert wines. End your authentic meal with an artisan cheese platter or select from their menu of sweet confections. The waitstaff is friendly and unpretentious and their goal is to please everyone in this convivial atmosphere.
