Sweetwaters is fun! It’s lively! It’s a party! Rich shades of red, brown and beige together with soft lighting make up the classy contemporary decor. The main dining room is glass enclosed and there is an outdoor patio that’s jumping on warm summer evenings. A separate room is available for quieter dining, private parties or corporate events. Candles flicker, music plays and the stage is set for a great meal in comfortable
surroundings.
Owner Jimmy Gerrain is a gracious host and will make you feel right at home whether you have been coming here for years or it’s your first time. He believes in the “art of accommodating.” So does his young friendly staff who will go the extra mile.
Enjoy New York pretzels with a honey dijon dip while you peruse the varied menu. There are so many tempting choices - cold crisp dinner salads with creative ingredients; familiar pasta dishes; fresh seafood; juicy steaks; tender chicken; and daily specials. Our favorite was the Spinach and Artichoke Fondue. It was “cheese heaven”... dipping vegetables, fries, chips and toasted bread cubes into thick melted cheese. The wine list is reasonably priced and the martini list has creative mixes. In addition, there is a fine selection of port wines and a variety of cordials and cognac. Specialty coffees pair well with their luscious homemade desserts.
Sweetwaters has an upbeat personality like that of Jimmy who loves the restaurant he created and invites you to experience it. With it’s convenient location off the Long Island Expressway, it’s a great destination.
