As you pull up in front of 21 Main Prime Steak House
you immediately get the feeling that your evening will be
something special. Sitting majestically on a hill with a view
of a private lake, this elegant country mansion has been
transformed into a steak lover’s paradise while still retaining its warmth and sophistication. The subtle burgundy and gold tones of the main dining contrast wonderfully with the dark woods and classic paintings that decorate the spirited piano lounge. The recently refurbished 2nd floor private banquet room is perfect for any event you may be hosting.
The menu at 21 Main features Prime Dry – Aged steaks along with the freshest seafood and jumbo lobsters. We enjoyed the popular Porterhouse which was grilled to juicy perfection, and Double–Cut American Lamb Chops were just as delicious. Side dishes which are huge include such classics as fresh creamed spinach unlike any we have tasted before and the macaroni and cheese au gratin topped with crispy onions was incredibly creamy and rich in flavor. Appetizers are not to be over looked. Tuna and Avocado Tartar with Cantaloupe Puree was tangy and refreshing and the “Maryland Style” Jumbo Lump Crab Cake was plump and moist yet with a crispy crust. Their 2006 Wine Spectator Award Winning Wine List consists of over 300 bottles featuring a well balanced blend of American and International vintages. The specialty drinks are amazing; you have to try one of their Exotic Infused Martini’s, they’re delicious. Homemade desserts are large portions of glorious confections. Our favorite was the velvety smooth crème brulee. Executive Chef James Cavorti and his team create a culinary experience that is anything but ordinary.
Their knowledgeable staff offers gracious service and can
be very helpful if you’re the type like I am who looks for
recommendations on menu and wine pairings.
21 Main Prime Steak House is decorated in restrained good taste. But there’s nothing restrained about the food. Well
educated diners will agree, it is a superb restaurant that rivals
any top steak house. LIVE MUSIC THURS, FRI & SAT; THURS NIGHT CHICAGO STYLE RIBEYE; TUES &WED WINE SPECIALS; PRIVATE PARTY ROOM; WATER VIEW;TAKE OUT; RETAIL MENU
