Rated one of the Top Five Italian Restaurants and one of the Top Five New American Restaurant in the 2003 Zagat Survey, Piccolo stands out among the best. Expanded to include an additional room, the restaurant boasts a beautiful mahogany bar, piano and banquette seating. The decor is elegant with rich dark woods, comfortable chairs and candlelight. Owner Dean Philippis and manager Denise Ravella greet you with a genuine warm and gracious welcome. Dean says that once you visit Piccolo you’ll feel as if you’ve been here a hundred times. The experienced waitstaff, who have been with the restaurant for many years, is knowledgeable, attentive, friendly and courteous. They will cater to your every need.
You will enjoy an extraordinary meal in a romantic setting with live piano music by “Uncle” Don Sands. Signature dishes include crisp Long Island Duck, Braised Short Rib Canneloni, and numerous specials which change nightly. The carefully chosen wine list
is extensive with more than 400 Italian, California, French and Long Island selections and a Le Verre
de Vin wine system allows them to offer 20 wines
by the glass.
Dean recently opened Mill Pond House, 437
