Owner Dino Vlacich brings his culinary talents
and expertise to his first solo venture. He decorated
the dining room of this comfortable restaurant in restrained good taste as you would expect of someone who’s style of cooking is light, careful and deliberate. Dino is dedicated to cooking at a high level and relies on fresh ingredients, prepared simply to bring out all
the natural flavors.

Signature dishes include tender osso bucco
(customers call ahead to see if it’s on the menu), duck, and rack of lamb. Delicately prepared whole fish is
also very popular and it is filleted tableside. There are several house made pastas including cavatelli a ricotta pasta with Bolognese sauce. Homemade desserts are wonderful with scrumptious banana cream pie at the
top of the list. Efficient service is led by Dino’s wife, Gail, a charming and beautiful host. Critics gave Dino and his restaurant high ratings and diners continue to fill the dining room, some eating at the bar when table seating is not available.

Sunflowers are throughout the dining room and dimly lit spotlights cast a glow on the warm yellow
walls that are accented by cobalt blue, reminiscent
of a restaurant in Tuscany. When asked what makes Mio special, the staff referred to customer comments, “it’s the freshness of the food, great extensive wine list, and caring service.”
