Stresa’s owners Giorgio Meriggi, Pasquale Cervera and Antonio D’Arcangelo’s highly acclaimed
reputation for fine food and service is repeated
in Stresa East. Regarded by the critics as two of Long Island’s best Italian restaurants, both Stresa in Manhasset and Stresa East were rated “Excellent” by The NY Times and awarded four stars by Newsday. The Zagat Survey called both restaurants “divine, creative and delicious.”
Stresa East has all the charm of Stresa and more with an additional large room for private parties. The dining room has a refined elegance with graceful drapes, plush carpeting, gold framed paintings, silver flatware, fine china and fresh flowers on each table. Magnificent floral displays, like those at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, are created by Antonio.
Chef Alberto Calabrese, who’s culinary training began in Italy, offers a high level of classic Italian cuisine with artistic plate presentations. Specials include Pollo Divino, a tender breast of chicken stuffed with jumbo shrimp in a spicy white wine sauce, and Veal Chop Milanese with chopped tomato, seasoned with oregano, basil, and garlic. Sensational homemade desserts are sweet endings and souffles are available if you order ahead. Their international wine list is
excellent and includes some special reserves. Service is by a finely tuned professional staff.
