Situated in the picturesque historic water town
of Port Jefferson, this splendid restaurant, which has three dining rooms, is also available for parties. Decorated in the casual and comfortable style of a
Tuscan Villa the dining rooms boast light wood accents, vases filled with fresh flowers, candlelit tables, antique mirrors, framed art prints and gracefully draped curtains.
Pasta Pasta is more than its name indicates. While pasta selections dominate the menu, there are also fish, chicken and veal entrees and innovative brick oven
pizzas. Start with a warm loaf of Italian bread with a spread of fresh herbs, roasted peppers and feta cheese
butter as you explore the varied menu. Portabello
mushroom bruschetta, and bacon wrapped shrimp are delicious appetizers and the grilled or blackened fish (of the day) is a popular choice from the entree selections. The numerous pasta dishes which are generous in size are
creative combinations that include lobster, shrimp,
chicken, wild mushrooms and filet mignon with different kinds of sauces. The highlight of the dessert menu is vanilla ice cream rolled in a corn flake, heath bar crunch, almond mixture, deep fried and served with a chocolate and raspberry drizzle.
Owners Steve Sands and Jules Buitron have done
