Mill Pond House is full of drama when you first enter. Dimly lit, you walk through a draped doorway
into the bar room where the live piano music is tranquil and inviting. Sit in the luxurious over-sized banquette and sip a cocktail before dinner. The dining room, lit
by wall sconces and tall tapered candles, over looks the Mill Pond, making for a gorgeous view. Crisp white table cloths, framed mirrors and paintings complete the radiant decor. An outdoor patio with a tiki bar is a relaxing place to enjoy a drink or a meal and watch the ducks swim by.
Dean Philippis and Thomas Abraham own Mill Pond House. Dean also owns the highly rated Piccolo
in Huntington with his family and runs Mill Pond House with the same positive attitude as his family runs Piccolo, gracious, efficient service is key and it’s the added touches that make the restaurants special.
The food here is also special. Chef Franco Raicovich is an expert in his preparations of all the menu items. The focus is on steaks and chops with seven different
cuts on the menu and additional ones on the daily
specials menu. Fish is also prominent and a popular choice is delectable yellowfin tuna with ginger soy
sauce. There’s also raw bar selections. The wine list
is international with many choices available by the glass. End your meal with one of their homemade desserts and their perfect capuccino.
