Port Jefferson

I am looking for a nice spot for a 50th birthday dinner in Port Jefferson for about 10 people on a Saturday night. I am currently considering either the restaurant in the Danford's Inn or the Elk Street Grille. Any ideas which has better food, more "special" atmosphere. Any other places in Port Jeff I should consider? Thanks!

there are a few really good restaurants in Pt Jefferson...Elk Street Grille, Pasta Pasta and Ruvo. One of those should be your choice.

Last July I threw a surprise 50th birthday party for my best girlfriend, who lives in Port Jeff. Not many choices there, so I looked in Smithtown and chose Casa Rustica. It was wonderful! Great service, great food and a lot of bang for the buck. I highly recommend Casa Rustica.
