was at rothmann's on thursday night..not the old singles crowd it used to be...sat in the back room and billy joel was at the next table...when i was at the bar there were a few islander players there...i heard that rick dipietro, the islander's goalie, eats there a lot...but sitting next to billy joel was the highlight of my year so far...he gave us autographs and was so nice

we met Billy Joel in a few LI restaurants (and heard from others) that he's friendly, approachable, and gracious... he's even been known to sit down at the piano and play. We saw his concert the other night - what a splendid performance he gave!!! We are proud that he's a LIer.
