Snaps Submitted by: meghan on Nov 29th 2004 I had the pleasure of dining at Snaps this past Saturday Nov 27,2004... I can not express how impressed I was with the food, the presentation, the staff, the ambiance, everthing was abolutley incredible. This was my first time to Snaps(definatley not my last) Everything on the menu sounded so wonderful that we decided to go for the 10 course tasting menu with the wine pairing...fabulous!! Perfect pairing and each course was better then the next. If you have a love for food and can really appreciate great skill in the kitchen, I highly recommend Snaps. Bravo!!

Majors Submitted by: George & Nancy Place on Nov 28th 2004 We are regulars here every Friday night. The staff is very friendly and I've NEVER had a bad meal. Try the marinated rib steak or prime rib after starting with the fresh mozzarella & tomato. Never disappointed and never leave hungry.
Corbin & Reynolds Submitted by: Ed and Carol Albanesi on Nov 28th 2004 We are visiting from St. Augustine, Florida and joined two good friends at Corbin and Reynolds. Long Beach was never known for great restaurants but it has one now. The Macadamia crusted sea bass is the best seafood dish I've experienced in more than 18 years (since Palermo's in St. Augustine closed). All the food was great and so was the service.
Blue Honu Submitted by: Lori on Nov 29th 2004 Blue Honu is a trendy, fun, and delicious restaurant. If you miss Hawaii...go to Blue Honu. Be sure to make a reservation!
Cafe Joelle Submitted by: Lori on Nov 29th 2004 Cafe Joelle is a quaint little place where the food is always great. Leave room for the best creme brulee and coffee on the island.

Reply #1 submitted by: Anthony F. on Nov 29th 2004 Long Island's answer to Mr. Trotter, Chef Schaudel, once again shows his passion for the plate is not the soul recipe in his creative yet-eccentric cookbook. The medleys, mixes, and chutneys that flirt with our taste buds are only the fresh cream, not the flan. Chef Schaudel's "Top Ten", let's all of us in this truly unique industry know, "It's not just me!" All of OUR trials and tribulations parallel the same demented and at the best of times glorifying path. The true beauty of Chef Tom's Top Ten is that everyone of us aspiring stars that aims for the Schaudel legacy & passion can rest at night just knowing, "It happens to the best of us."
P.S. Morris, great job again, Chef Schaudel, as my bus-boys would say, "YOU DA MAN"
Akbar in Garden City, Long Island Submitted by: geeta on Nov 16th 2004 We have eaten there countless times, had catering done from them and had a few parties there. Mr. Chauhan, the manager, is helpful and the staff is wonderful. Just be sure to specify your request for less spice and/or less oil. Otherwise (like many experiences with Indian food), you might not be so thrilled with the experience.
Donovan's Submitted by: Maureen on Nov 13th 2004 I have eaten there many times, and have hosted two parties there, with excellent results. The food is delicious, the wait staff friendly and courteous and the prices are quite resonable

Epiphany Submitted by: Mark Marchwinski on Oct 27th 2004 This is truly a great dining experience. The food, wine , ambience & acoustics are excellent. To eat great food in a warm atmosphere where you can have a conversation without the typical distracting background noise is a rarity. Ms. Condello is a charming hostess/owner greeting all who arrive. All Long Island restaurant owners should dine here to learn what the RIGHT WAY of operating a restaurant is all about.
Reply #1 submitted by: Ron on Jan 18th 2005 Everything you described in your message also holds true for "Mauricio's Orlando's II" in St. James if you're in the mood for Northern Italian. Excellent food, service & prices along with hospitality and atmosphere.

Milk and Sugar Cafe Submitted by: cheryl on Sep 14th 2004 This is by far the best restaurant of it's fare on long island.Entrees are perfectly infused with such flavor so precise so right on !!The sandwiches are no doubt the best i have ever had-- from long islang all the way to the Caribbean. The wine selection is so versatile there is something for everyone. They really gave thought to pairing their wine to their entrees. This place is by far not your average pulled together restaurant. Every single detail is pulled together in such a marriage that the whole place just flows without a flaw. I am a former restaurant owner and i was extremely impressed by this restaurant. Not easy to do!! From a-z it is flawless even the staff!!Keep up the good work! you are brilliant!!

Wedding Reception Submitted by: Maureen O'Connell on Aug 24th 2004 My son and his fiancee just got engaged and since they are planning on locating to the west coast early in 2005, they have decided to get married before they move. Of course, they would have liked more time to plan a formal wedding, but since my future daughter in law has very little family, they have decided to keep the list to under 100 people. Can you suggest some place that is inexpensive. We are open to all suggestions. Thanks.
