La Coquille
Submitted by: George and Maria on Feb 26th 2005
My family and I moved to Scottsdale, AZ and the one thing we miss more than most on LI is La Coquille. After dozens of visits, John and Staff have never once let us down. The food is spectacular, ambiance is original, wine list is unique and not a 22 year old waiter/college student in sight. Truly professional from top to bottom. Have been to Daniel, Cafe Boulud, One if by Land and if given a choice of one place, La Coquille would be the place youd find me. Consistency like this is a rarity. Even the Pommard tastes better there!

My husband and I have gone here several times. The ambience is wonderful. The waitstaff is very knowledgeable and very attentive. The food is excellent. On the weekends, it gets very busy and you most likely will have to wait at the bar, but I can tell you the wait is well worth it. I would highly recommend this Nick D'Angelo.

My Life in the Restaurant Business
Submitted by: Geoff Janowski on Dec 2nd 2004
I can totally relate to this article. I've been in the restaurant business since I was 15 years old. New England country clubs, hotels, and now I own one the few great BBQ restaurants in the Boston area. I was unable to peel myself away from your article as it mirrors my life. Very much like reading the Anthony Bourdain book "Kitchen Confidential" in Newton, Ma. Come see Blue Ribbon BBQ, 1375 Washington St for some really good chow and some great restaurant stories. Take care and keep working hard, Geoff
