Cipollini is a great hot spot any summer evening (or winter too). Located at the Americana Mall in Manhasset. Couples, families and singles all seem to find a nitch to fit in here. Dine indoor or out. The food is delicous and more than enough. The drinks are great and not overpriced. Ask for Jack as your waiter, he is fun, lighthearted and eager to please.

Pier 95
Submitted by: Ciao Froggy on Jul 11th 2006
Enjoyed a wonderful Sunday lunch with my family. Every course was delicious, and so much to choose from. The owner was very gracious and patient (my wife always asks for a repeat of the specials, and their were many). Immaculate conditions and a nice view of the water with docked and passing boats. The only slight negative was the wait staff mixed up who got what meals and who got what drinks. But eventually everyone received what they ordered and walked away satisfied. I highly recommend Pier 95 for that special dining experience.

Ludlow Bistro
Submitted by: Steve Jones on Jun 24th 2006
WOW! This once dreary old, cluttered, dark and unexciting restaurant has been transformed into a beautiful, amazing restaurant. You will certainly find a choice on the menu for everyone! What a great meal. The service was great and the food was stupendous! I had the Pappardelle which was amazing and I am not a pasta guy, normally I eat steak when I go out but everyone has to try this pasta dish at least once! I also sampled the other 3 dishes that were on my table and I just cant believe how good everything was!!! Now I have to go back so I can have each one! I dont know where the chef came from but he sure is talented. The manager (owner?) also was a fantastic host and really seemed to care if we were all happy which is quite refreshing, sometimes they may ask but they never really seem to care like he did. As you can see I strongly suggest a visit to this new place......... you wont be sorry!

Your stories reminded me of a time rather long ago.
One summer when I was 16 I worked in a service station pumping gas. After the summer ended I was convinced that everyone should spend a month pumping gas as a required high school course in order to see what it was like dealing with the public.
As your wonderful recollections show it is better (for you/us)to deal with the absurd and rude with humor rather than anger and increased blood pressure.

Thank You
