Elk Street Grille
Submitted by: reese on Aug 28th 2006
my husband and i stopped by this restaurant as an afterthought. we were in for such a pleasant surprise! to start, the atmosphere is clean, classy casual. not stuffy but not overly trendy. the service was excellent, very attentive. the food was fantastic, not what we were expecting. we recommend the gnocchi appetizer, fantastic. i also loved the goat cheese salad with candied pecans. all in all, well worth it, we will definitely return, and would recommend it!

Tierra Mar, Westhampton Beach
Submitted by: M&H on Aug 24th 2006
We went to Tierra Mar on Saturday. The weather was perfect for
that type of place. The food was very well presented and the service matched. We really enjoyed the atmosphere, although the chairs were not covered with cloth seat covers, as the photo in the magazine had. They were plastic beach type chairs, but it fit the mood of the ocean and outdoordining. We had a very good time.

Trattoria Lucia
Submitted by: Lynn on Aug 13th 2006
I have been going to Trattoria Lucia since they first opened & I've back an easy 20 times since. My times at Trattoria Lucia only get better & better & the food is to die for. The atmosphere is beautiful, the lighting is perfect the italian music that plays in the backround is not loud like some restaurants, it's actually very delightful. Being there so many times I had the pleasure of meeting the owners, Karen & Joe. I even had the pleasure of meeting Karen's wonderful husband (& owner) & the person that makes some of the best food on this planet, Chef Ivan. They are all warm & friendly to the point where you think you're going over to your families house for dinner, that is how comfortable they make you feel. Let me also point out the servers are just as friendly & very knowledgeable & ready to answer any questions you might have. I also made sure I went on a night they had the Jazz player, that was so beautiful & romantic! As I said the food is to die for, the calmari is perfect, yummy to be exact. My husband almost always gets the baby lamb chops with broccoli rabe, the chicken scarpariello is always done just right, I can go on & on. The desserts are just sinful! It is a place you have to try for yourself, believe me you will not be disappointed!

Trattoria Lucia in bellerose
Submitted by: Maureen Fitzgerald on Aug 10th 2006
For more than a year I have heard my neighbors talking about Trattoria Lucia. Never been there since we normally eat in Stella's. They were closed for vacation, so we decided to try it. I do not know why we waited so long.
Blue point oyster on the half shell, fried calamari & coconut shrimp were incredible. Best calamari we have ever eaten. We also tried the wild stripped bass with clams & mussels, great portions, fresh fish and piping hot. Servers are cute and very friendly. So many warm hands to make you comfortable. Great place. I recommend it to all.
