ABOUT Eden Wok Westchester

Eden Wok New Rochelle, like their New York City counterpart, is the “only game in town for this specialized [Chinese] fare,” as the Zagat 2005 puts it. The review goes on to state: “...Kosher-Chinese? Sounds funny, but tastes great crow customers who drive or wok over to New Rochelle’s busy North Avenue for Asian eats with a twist.” Yes, it’s the quality of the food and service that have people coming from all the surrounding Westchester areas. Conveniently located off I-95 and the Hutchinson River Parkway, this neat, relaxing and comfortable restaurant, is perfect for families and friends to get together and enjoy a fulfilling and satisfying meal. Decorated with green plants, and beautiful wall paintings, the spacious dining room is ideal for corporate parties and meetings. Free parking is available in the parking lot behind the restaurant. Manager Josh Berkowitz, always experimenting and trying to come up with new Chinese and sushi dishes, including an “Atkins” special, realizes how important it is to make the customer happy.

[continued above, right]

He and his staff will go out of their way to make sure you get exactly what you want. They will customize your dish, whether you like it steamed or boiled, to your specifications. You’ll notice that the prices are very reasonable and the portions are generous. All dishes are served on Chinese decorated plates, letting you know immediately that you are about to embark on a classic dining excursion. Recommended specials include their Barbequed Beef Sticks and the newly added Pastrami Egg Roll. Sample their favorites such as General Tso’s Chicken and Sesame Chicken in their respective thick and sweet sauces and you can’t go wrong. If you’re in the mood for something unique, try the Mock Shrimp. They have plenty of diet specials and with over 100 Chinese dishes and over 100 sushi choices. You’ll have no problem finding something just for you. Working hard to bring you the best in Chinese and sushi, owner Kevin Cohnen is proud of his restaurants and their outstanding reputations.

Request to leave out an allergenic ingredient was taken pleasantly, ignored, taken back, then patron was punished. Delayed miserable meal was grotesque gray gristle a stray dog would not eat. Other food sloppy and poor.

Hot and Sour soup is good, service lacks personality, a little abrupt, the staff is not caring and warm. Some chicken dishes oily. They can do a better job with catering to their customers and trying to make it a nice dining experience. Also it can be cleaner all around the restaurant floors, etc.
