ABOUT Chai Wok

Located a few blocks off Biscayne Blvd. and in the heart of North Miami Beach, you will find Chai Wok; a casual, yet sophisticated restaurant specializing in Authentic Chinese and American fare. The owner Donny Gordon, is a home-grown Florida native, which allows him to have that comfortable and natural feeling with his customers.  In fact, he doesn't even like to use that word  - "customers" but rather family, since he has known many of them his whole life. And many of those years, incidentally, have been in the food business  - 18 years to be exact. Donny owned a very popular pizza store but decided to devote his full time in elevating Chai Wok to the restaurant he can be proud of. When he opened the restaurant in November of 2010, he decided to follow three basic but very important principles: Good service, consistency of food and cleanliness.  And the fact that you can find him in the restaurant at all times, does not go unnoticed by his "family" of diners.

[continued above, right]

As you can see in the accompanying photo, Donny gives with a full heart.  The plates are generous, delicious and reasonbly priced. He has all the favorite Chinese dishes you crave in General Tso's Chicken, Sweet & Sour Chicken and Orange Beef.  For sushi lovers, I am sure you can spot their Miami Dream, Volcano and Valentine Rolls in the picture.

The restaurant is always busy with specials and promotions.  Take for instance, all day Sunday and Monday nights, where you can watch the game on their big screen TV, all the while enjoying their .25 cent wings.  In addition, they offer an All-You-Can-Eat Buffet on Wednesday nights and live entertainment on Saturday nights in the winter. They are also one of the only restaurants in the area with a private party room with a separate entrance, which is great for Sheva Brachos, Birthday parties and family gatherings. So the next time you are looking for a warm and friendly place to go with the family, make sure you "wok" on over to Chai Wok.

I went out with my husband for dinner and we were treated to excellent service, generous portions, and delicious food. Donny the owner takes a personal interest in every customer and makes you feel at home. I had the fung Wong gai and it was perfect. BTW The sushi is pretty incredible too. This place can compete with any restaurant in NYC. If you are in Miami stop by, you'll be glad you did!

If you live in or are visiting Miami, Chai Wok is a restaurant worth going to with friends and family. The food is par excellence, and the Sushi is the best I have tasted anywhere. The staff are very friendly, and treat you like family. Try it out and see for yourself. You will not be dissapointed.
