It’s been over a decade since Jacob and Shoshana Ben-Shitrit started serving the Atlantic City community. And in every one of those 10 years, Jerusalem Glatt Kosher Restaurant has always been able to provide its customers with delicious Middle Eastern specialties. Shomer Shabbat, Atlantic City residents, Jacob and Shoshana wanted to offer their fellow neighbors and visitors a family friendly place where everyone can relax and enjoy. They are the closest glatt kosher restaurant to all area hotels and casinos and delivery is available. For your convenience, catering is available for both on and off premises. Jacob is adamant that all vegetables are to be checked thoroughly. While all salads are made by hand from scratch, all dishes are made to order and prepared on the premises. They offer an array of Israeli and Moroccan salads such as Babaganoush, Tabouli and Moroccan Matbucha as well as many appetizers like Falafel, Moroccan Cigars and Kubbbe.

The portions are plentiful and the prices are fairly reasonable. With a Middle Eastern and Sephardic style of cooking, Jacob and Shoshana have been in the catering and food business for over 40 years. Much of which was done in Israel, and hence the name of the restaurant. Recommended items include the Baby Chicken in an apricot glaze, Lamb Shank in a dry fruit sauce and Prime Rib in a delectable mushroom wine sauce. If you’re in the mood for fish, they also have a terrific Whole St. Peters fish. All entrees come with your choice of 2 side orders. A children’s menu and homemade daily specials are offered as well. Be sure to end off the meal with a cup of Turkish coffee or Nana tea which goes well with any of their parve and homemade desserts, which are available by the pie.

Michael- 04/11/09 The only reason I like this place is they let Chabad hold Shabbos minyan here for many years until Chabad got their own place nearby.
However, they are VERY expensive and the place is beat-up. It needs a new carpet immediately, paint job and all the old scotch tape, notices and chochkalas removed from the cash register area. I don't eat here anymore because of the high prices and I simply wait until I return to Manhattan for a good kosher meal. It's my charcoal backyard grill in Margate/Longport instead.
