After a successful start in Queens, it made perfect sense for owner Neil Wallin to show the Long Island residents how good Chinese food can be. Twelve years old and still going strong, the restaurant has much to offer for your dining pleasure in their lovely dining room, as well as for special occasions in their spacious party room upstairs. Every detail from the moment you walk in the door to your final sip of tea, has been considered and perfectly planned.
With cushioned seats and couches, the restaurant is relaxing and comfortable. Bright sunshine through glass windows lights up the restaurant during the day, while a more intimate feeling is captured at night. Cho-Sen Island has a full service cocktail bar and full sushi bar. The restaurant is popular in the Long Island community and is a must-stop for any local or visitor. Cho-Sen Island attributes its years of success to the winning combination of friendly, efficient service and superb food. The restaurant staff is led by General Manager Norman and Assistant Manager, Yunice, who are always smiling and making the customers feel welcomed.
Regulars come at least once a week, as homage to the restaurant’s executive Chef Cheng’s delectable dishes. Barbecued Tenderloin Beef or Spring Rolls are two perfect appetizers with which to start the meal. All the entrees are generous in size with any of Chef Cheng’s Specialties a sure winner, especially the Peking Duck. Because of the personal service and clean environment, Cho-Sen Island is a great choice for a classy date, perfect for the entire family and ideal for business professionals to conduct their meetings.
Just ask Rivka Rosen and her family. A recent post on the magazine’s website from Rivka reads: “The best chinese food in the world! It’s always our first option to have our parties in. It can’t be beat, especially if you are a large family and you like to eat nicely but in family style. The service rocks and all of the waiters know their menu and food really well. The sushi is beautiful and everything else is just delicious. Keep up the good work.” Be assured that they will. |
