Moroccan cuisine has long been considered as one of the most diversified cuisines in the world. The reason is because of the interaction of Morocco with the outside world for centuries. The cuisine of Morocco is a mix of Berber, Moorish, Middle Eastern, Mediterranean African, Iberian, and Jewish influences. The cooks in the royal kitchens of Fez, Meknes, Marrakech, Rabat and Tetouan refined Moroccan cuisine over the centuries and created the basis for what is known as Moroccan cuisine today.
El Morocco proposes authentic Moroccan cuisine, needless to say, something rare in the downtown core of Montreal. On the menu, you will find our renowned Moroccan cooked salads and some classics such as pastilla, cigars, tagines and couscous. The Restaurant, which celebrates its 30th anniversary in Montreal, is also well known for its delicious grills, such as merguez, steak, kefta, shish kebab and veal chops. Uncompromising quality and savoir-faire are its key ingredients. Great presentation and attentive service are to be noted. The decor is just perfect, mainly because of small ornaments from Morocco to make you feel right there. Keep some room for desserts and Moroccan mint tea, a sweet way to finish off a great meal.
Keep in mind that El Morocco also offers full service catering and has 2 banquet halls able to accommodate anywhere from 20 to 120 guests for weddings, office parties, anniversaries, birthdays etc. Free Valet Parking is also available on most night. Free Self Park on other nights. Review
