Sushi Metsuyan Teaneck has been opened since August of 2000 and the critical acclaim keeps pouring in. The fact that they are the only sit-down sushi restaurant in Teaneck hasn’t deterred them, as they keep wooing their diners with their
marvelous creations, both in flavor and presentation. A great sign for any restaurant is that they are extremely busy, so don’t bother trying to make a reservation - they don’t take any. They just can’t hold the spots long enough, since people are always coming in.

With its intimate and cozy ambiance, the restaurant is one of a kind. They don’t serve any meat or dairy items and all their utensils are pareve, so one can feel free to go at anytime. The restaurant only serves sushi and grilled fish. And since they only deal with fresh fish, they can compete with any kosher or non-kosher restaurant in price and taste- there is no need to compromise. The establishment attracts many non-kosher diners who appreciate superb sushi specialties. In fact, Sushi Metsuyan was featured recently in the “Best of Bergen County 2008” magazine.

Owner Tzvi Maller, who also owns the Pasta Factory on an adjacent street, first opened Sushi Metsuyan to bring the community a friendly place to dine without having to travel too far. As part of the franchise of Sushi Metsuyan, you know they have a great reputation. Grilled fish specialties include Takegushi and Baja California with signature sushi rolls consisting of the Teaneck Maki and the Godzilla Roll of tuna, yellow tail, salmon and kani battered and deep fried layered with their secret spicy sauce. For dessert, try the banana tempura, it’s crispy, sweet and delicious!

A great way to enjoy Sushi Metsuyan in your home or office is to order one of their famous sushi platters. And if you feel you want something special or out of the ordinary, just ask the chef, he will take good care of you.
