A haven of delicious food and friendliness in center of the city, Village Green provides the ideal solution for breakfast, lunch, supper or an in-between snack. Situated on the edge of the historic Nahalat Shiv'a quarter, The Village Green has a well deserved reputation based on experience gained from running successful vegetarian restaurants since 1980.
The cuisine is inspired by many sources -ranging from North America, Europe, Asia, the mediterranean countries, the middle East to North Africa. As a result dishes such as quiches, baked tofu, ratatouille, seaweed pie, lasagna, humus, greek salad, broccoli soup and miso soup, all co-exist harmoniously in the menu, and provide great satisfaction to hundreds of diners each day. A delicious array of home-baked cakes and desserts, plus excellent coffee, chocolate, and herbal teas, make the Village Green a great cafe option.
All meals are served with bread rolls, butter and garlic butter. There is a big selection of rolls: wholmeal with grains, plain flour, corn, olives, raisins, oregano and garlic and onion. There is also a selection of yeast free bread that is made from wholmeal, rye or buckwheat. There is an option of buying the breads and Chalot on Fridays. All produce are fresh and the eggs are organic from free range chickens.
You also have the ability for Vegetarian, dairy or vegan catering for all occasions - weddings, bar-mitzvahs, bat-mitzvahs, sheva-brachot, brit-mila, birthdays, tourist groups. Up to 100 guests in their hall or unlimited guests in other venues. Delicious, original and beautifully decorated catering, tailored to the needs of each special event.
