”La-Guta” is a kosher French restaurant, located in the beautiful Nahalat-Shiva area of Jerusalem – one of the early neighborhoods outside the walls of the old city. The place is characterized by a unique design – inside and outside – due to the various architecture styles combined in the structure. Over the years, ”La-Guta” is a well known restaurant, and it rightfully earned a great reputation for its high standard gourmet kitchen and the kind hospitality.
The head chef of ”La-Guta” (and the inspiration for the place’s name), is Guta Ben-Simhon. Her outstanding cooking style includes various origins and influences, among them some dominant elements taken from the rich traditional Moroccan cuisine she grew up with as a child. House specialties range from Foie Gras (goose liver) and Beef Wellington to Tournados Rossini and Sea Wolf fillet.
Chef Guy Ben-Simhon, Guta’s son, cooks side-by-side with his mother, and plays a major part on his own in the kitchen. Guy had learned a lot from Guta, and took advanced studies under well known chefs around the world. The two of them, Guta and Guy, have a lot of experience in managing and cooking for grand gastronomical events in Israel.
The magical homely atmosphere, professional service and impressive design combine together to create a wonderful meal and an unforgettable experience. At ”La-Guta” you can have business meals at the middle of the day, and enjoy a rich evening menu. Takeout is available at the restaurant as well as catering for on-premise private events. |
