“Filling a kosher Asian food niche" for "the Golders Green crowd", this venue "keeps its Jewish customer base coming back for more," is how the Zagat Survey describes Met Su Yan. Meaning “excellent” in Hebrew, Met Su Yan is a Pan Oriental Restaurant specializing in the very best and authentic chinese, Vietnamese, Japanese and Thai foods cooked by highly experienced chefs from across the Far East. They provide a fusion of flavours and aromas from across the orient.
Dining with a difference is their philosophy as the food is presented in a modern style with an emphasis on providing the very best daily. The environment is a clean and serene modern space with an informal and relaxed atmosphere.
For appetizers, Japanese Tempura Vegetables and Thai Grilled Lamb Chops are suggested. A wide selection of Duck, Chicken, Beef, Lamb, traditional Chinese curries, Fish, Rice & Noodles and vegetarian dishes are all offered. Sliced Duck with Ginger and Spring onion and Steak in Black bean sauce are among the favorites. One will also find a large variety of sushi items, including the Inside-out Fried Smoked Salmon roll and the Fish Tempura roll, a large cone-shaped hand roll filled with rice, vegetables and fish. A la carte and set menus are available for lunch and dinner.
Met Su Yan also offers an an exciting variety of kosher wines and Champagnes and a cosmopolitan selection of cocktails. The restaurant is available for private functions in the afternoon or evening. Their contemporary setting has become the venue for small parties and business meetings. They are experts in creating menus and can turn your vision into a reality with their own oriental flavour - all designed to fit your budget. Exclusive use of their restaurant that seats up to 60 people in comfort is available only upon request. Lavishly different… culturally advanced… the ideal place for a meal or a simcha! |
