Bistro Grill of Woodmere is largely considered one of the top kosher French steakhouses in the country. It was then no wonder when local residents were looking for the ideal place to host Presidential candidate Rudy Guiliani’s fundraiser that they chose Bistro Grill of Woodmere. The restaurant certainly has a great reputation and that is largely due to owner, operator and restaurateur Raphy Bitton’s unquestioned dedication, passion and desire. As a 1988 Yeshivah University graduate, Bitton received a bachelors of science. But he always had this knowledge of food and hospitality that propelled him into the restaurant industry. In fact, if one had the distinct pleasure of dining at “The Box Tree” in Manhattan, Raphy was the engineer behind the concept. Meanwhile, the Bistro Grill of Woodmere takes on the personality of the owner, friendly, personable and inviting. These traits are passed onto his courteous and efficient staff and together with a warm atmosphere, this steakhouse is unique - true to its French Bistro character.
A housemade ravioli is a good way to begin the meal as is their Bistro Grill Salad. Besides their a-la-carte menu and top USDA prime steaks, they have wonderful fish and chicken dishes. The restaurant also offers specialized dinner specials for each night of the week. On Sunday, you can enjoy their Delmonico Steak and smoked whipped potatoes; on Monday, the Truffle Stuffed Veal Chop & roasted sunchokes is offered and for Tuesday, you can get the Roasted Prime Rib with horseradish cream. On Wednesday, the Prime King Cut and potato au gratin is served; and to finish off the work week, one can have the pleasure of ordering the Bistro Grill’s Spiced Dusted T-Bone and creamy polenta. It’s simply a divine menu.
Raphy, who comes from a family of butchers, takes pride in the marbleness of all his meats. Since the restaurant has an in-house butcher, the owner recommends to take home some of the finest raw butchered cuts of meat you will find. In addition, the restaurant not only ships their meat locally, but can send it overnight in dry ice around the country. The Bistro Grill also specializes in delivering china and food to any restaurant in tightly sealed packages - most important for those business meetings. |
