Da’Nali’s Cafe has been around for over 10 years. However, it wasn’t until new owners Ricky and Sharon Glickman together with Rich and Janie Libles took over in 2005, that the restaurant reach its full potential. Over the past year, business has tripled, due to a combination of terrific food, improved service and a fun and exciting atmosphere.
With a blue skyline painted on the ceiling, artistic photos on the walls and interlocking wood columns giving the dining room a diamond shaped center, the restaurant is classy yet modern. A family friendly philosophy is found here. They serve only what they would want to be served. Rich comments: “when you’re here, you’re like a guest in our house.” Fresh fish arrives daily and they offer Chicago’s famous home grown Stewarts coffee. DaNali’s Cafe is also the only restaurant to serve strictly Cholov Yisroel soft ice cream.
Some recommendations include the tasty Split Pea Soup as well as their soft and tender, Asian Grilled Salmon combined with a side of fresh and lightly salted French fries. Breakfast is served all day with the perfectly made, sweet pancakes a must have. Their brick oven pizzas, a house specialty, are highly advisable. As is the the pastries, which are all freshly baked on the premises by their own pastry chef, Gail. Make sure to come by on your birthday for a free brownie and a promise of a song.
With themed nights like Mexican Mondays and Sushi Tuesdays, there is always something to anticipate. But Saturday Night is the talk of the town. Danali’s Cafe turns into Club D’Nali’s with live music. The owners just installed a professional sound system and with a guest line-up that features Bruce Herst and owner Ricky Glickman, the place is rocking. Be sure to get there early because they’re packed with over 200 people. |
