The Purple Pear in Monsey
Submitted by: Ephraim Rosenberg on Aug 3rd 2007
I recently went to the Purple Pear and ordered, not my usual fettuccini alfredo but, the Fish and Chips instead. Instead of the chips, I was given the choice of having Mashed Potatoes as a substitute. I just wanted to say that I was amazed with every mouthful how delicious it was. The fish was cooked to perfection and I honestly have never had mashed potatoes that taste as good theirs, and I've eaten a lot of mashed potatoes in my lifetime. Boruch Hashem that I live in Monsey so that I can order this unbelievable dish whenever I feel like. The Purple Pear truly has it all, nice atmosphere, clean, fast service, and most importantly unbelievably delicious food. And if you don't feel like dining in, you can order your food, and then go next door to Lishkas HaSofer and shop for seforim while you wait. The Purple Pear will give you a beeper that notifies you when your food is ready.
