RUSSIAN STYLE SWEET AND SOUR COD FISH

My husband's 80th birthday is coming up and he has had a yen for his mother's sweet and sour cod dish. All I can find on the web is Asian style. Not what I want. What I want is a recipe in the Russian/Jewish style. Anyone out there who can help? Thank you.
