El Gaucho Glatt Submitted by: Betty Schiff on Jan 4th 2009 We were 4 for dinner at El Gaucho Glatt for New Year. It was lake entering in a Spanish restaurant. The most exiting and authentic barbecue dining experiences. The barbecue was presented at our table in an individual grill. I had the Parilla and Coconut Pineapple Salad. Very exiting. The service was very friendly and attentive. We will tell all our friends about El Gaucho Glatt.

The Purple Pear Submitted by: daniel schwartz on Dec 29th 2008 The food is excellent and the management is very responsive to any customer issues. My only complaint is that the fish portions are way too small. The resteraunt would be wise to increase the portions, even if they need to charge a few more dollars for the fish
Reply #1 submitted by: Ira Brickman on Jan 5th 2009 As a rule all of our fish portions range in raw weight between 8-10 ounces. It's possible that a smaller portion might have slipped through.Next time you come in,dessert is on me.Glad you like the Purple Pear.
All the best,
Ira Brickman, General Manager

Carciofi Ristorante Submitted by: Yaakov & Leba on Dec 24th 2008 We just recently had sheva brochos at this wonderful restaurant. As each item came out to the table all gathered could not help but stare at the presentation and wonder what is it that was looking so delicious. For a wonderful exploration into tasting items for the first time this place has it. Items were perfectly cooked and very pleasant to the eye. The staff was courteous and fulfilled whatever requests we had. My wife and I will be going back soon just so the two of us can indulge our palates.

Gio Caffe & Restaurant Submitted by: sara on Dec 23rd 2008 the food is really great! but it took an hour for a pizza which was really annoying plus they add 18% to the bill automatically
Reply #1 submitted by: abe on Jan 5th 2009 tell sara i don't think it took that long but we only put 17% and it clearly states on the first page in bold letters that we will put it on

After hosting a major birthday party here in October we immediately booked the same room for our family Chanukah party. Slice of Life Submitted by: Tina on Dec 11th 2008 I don't keep Kosher, and still I think the deep dish pizza from Slice of Life in Skokie, IL is the best I've ever had in my life. You will fight over the crust.
Patoug Submitted by: Ben on Dec 8th 2008 I have to say that the food at this restaurant is horrible and i would never dine at patoug again. I wen't with 3 other couples Sat. 12/6/08 and not only do they not give free tahdig and pickles like other kabab restaurants but the meat is very poor quality. I had to spit out my food two times which was very embarassing. Three of us also got sick from the food that night.
Carciofi Ristorante Submitted by: jy on Dec 8th 2008 food was excellent , we had the veal chop, rib eye steak, veal cutlets and pasta dish,
The soups as well as the desserts were superb,
The service was not good however, they made up with it with free desserts which was very nice.
One of the better places I have been to in a long time!!!!
Carciofi Ristorante Submitted by: David Finkelstein on Dec 8th 2008 Ate there for the first time last night. The food and ambieance were outstanding. The service was horrendous, but they nobly made up for it by taking 15% off the bill and offering our entire party of 4 complimentary deserts (in store created and baked, they were amazing). Willing to give them the benefit of the doubt that they were having labor problems are something that evening, the food and make whole madde up for the service lapse, would gladly go again, its worth it!
Carciofi Ristorante Submitted by: Alan S. on Dec 7th 2008 Great food! Steak was perfect. Appetizers were excellent. Good service & nice ambiance. A nice surprise!
Orli (Edgware) Submitted by: ian goldberg on Dec 7th 2008 ilike ori very much
Bocca Steakhouse Submitted by: LA Yid on Dec 6th 2008 Great ambiance, perfect for a date. The Bocca steak is AMAZING. I'm a big steak lover, but there was so much meat I couldn't even finish it. Also, the roasted potatoes were perfectly seasoned. One drawback: we sat in a more obscure area, not in the middle of the restaurant, and service was slow to get to our table. You shouldn't have to wait over 30 minutes for your entree, and another 15 minutes for dessert. So if you don't mind waiting a little longer for your food, excellent choice.
A Cow Jumped Over the Moon Submitted by: Leiba on Dec 6th 2008 SO GOOD! The best sushi I have had in LA. Get the penne a la vodka and a california roll with salmon on top. Delicious. They ran out of pizza though . . . . . . . .?????????????????
Reply #1 submitted by: laurent on Jan 5th 2009 I apologize for the pizza, it happened only 1 time, because we had an unscheduled party of 30 that requested 30 pizzas! we usually don't sell that many pizza. Thank you for the good comment on the sushi and the pasta.
