tea for two closed on kings highway
Submitted by: raymond on May 13th 2009
what a loss for all of us. i hope they succeed re-opening anywhere. ill follw wherever they go. we all know that the greed in this community is what put tea for two out of this place. i know for sure what transpired at that location and i feel bad that a flagship place was forced to close for intervention by others in the community. may hashem give them hatzlacha wherever they will be. a very sad customer

This is hands down, one of the best Chinese restaurants around. It's neighboring restaurants just don't measure up to this place's food. After all, a restaurant should be about it's food

Rimonim
Submitted by: Elissa Macher on May 10th 2009
Five of us went to Rimonim for Mother's Day lunch. It was one of the loveliest restaurants that I've ever been to. The food was sensational and so plentiful. The waitress kept bringing out home baked breads and different dipping sauces with all sorts of salads. I never saw such amazing service.
The decor is quite lovely....all new and very relaxing and we never felt hurried. We spent a lovely afternoon there and cannot wait to return. The prices were excellent also. We'll be back...hopefully very soon!

Anyone know when Simply Sushi is opening in Monticello for the summer? I go to Simply Sushi in Cedarhurst but upstate they have awesome fried rolls.

Prime Grill New York

I WENT THERE LAST THURSDAY.AFTER WAITING CLOSE TO HALF AN HOUR TO BE SEATED THE SERVER WAS VERY RUDE SAID HE CANNOT ALLOW SUBSTITUTION ON A SIDE DISH BECAUSE THE CHEF WOULD NOT ALLOW IT. I THINK THE PRICES ARE OUTRAGEOUS AND I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND IT TO ANY OF MY FRIENDS

Reply #1 submitted by: Elan Kornblum, Publisher on Apr 29th 2009
I believe they do allow substitutions and there prices are high but so is their quality. I wouldn't call it outrageous. What is your last name, so they can see who your waiter was?

I heard that there rent was tripled or more. shame that the landlord is a greedy person. Doesnt he know what the economy is like today? T42 was and will always be my most respected and best restaurant. Ill follow them wherever they will go.

Reply #2 submitted by: james lieu Q on Apr 24th 2009
They are opening at another location pretty soon. I heard from a reputable source. I dont know who the Landlord is, but he really blew it. That place should have been considered a landmark for kosher retaurants. I happen to be a foodie and eat kosher and non kosher, yet, all my meetings were always at that place and I enjoyed everything about it.

Reply #3 submitted by: Nicole on Apr 27th 2009
The good news is that they are really reopening. The bad news is that it may take some time. I hope its really soon. My anniversary is coming up in June.

HI
I've been to the Pagoda 770 (don't know why Pagoda 770 if the restaurant is not on 770 Collins) and a lot of employees (specialy busgirls) don't speak inglish at all. That's bad for a Kosher restaurant that you need to becareful with food!!!

La Gondola Ristorante
Submitted by: M. Schwartz on Apr 12th 2009
The BEST GLATT Kosher in Southern California. You would never know it's Kosher, as it's one of the best Italian and steak places, period (so my non-Kosher friends tell me). Such wonderful appetizers and entrees and at such reasonable prices. You cannot get food like this on the Westside at such prices, anywhere. Truly a gem. And Nir will take such good care of you. Trust me, you should run here for a wonderful meal and good times.
