Mama Jacinta Submitted by: Sebastián Hemsi on Mar 1st 2006 This place is definitely worth it. Very good food at very reasonable prices and a very nice and quiet atmosphere. The only problem is that, as most kosher restaurants in Buenos Aires, it's not situated in a very nice area so it's not pleasant to go there for dinner.
Sucat David Submitted by: Sebastián Hemsi on Mar 1st 2006 Far from being a great restaurant, the food is just okay. But the place is situated in one of the ugliest areas in Buenos Aires, and the service in this restaurant is not good at all.
Thai Taste and Sushi Submitted by: Mordechai on Mar 1st 2006 We've heard such great things about your restaurant and can't wait to come to Florida and try it for ourselves. Hatzlacha
Bandstand Jazz Legend @ Wolf & Lamb Submitted by: Wolf & Lamb on Feb 28th 2006 Wolf & Lamb is thrilled to welcome Sol Yaged this Wednesday night. Sol Yaged is truly a legend of New York. Sol Yaged has been a professional clarinet player since 1938. He was chosen as technical adviser for the movie The Benny Goodman Story (1956) and taught Steve Allen to play the clarinet for the film. Mr. Yaged turns back time, playing the same songs the same way he did a half-century ago. This is the Sol Yaged who hired the saxophonist Coleman Hawkins and the drummer Cozy Cole as sidemen and who wrote music for the film "The Benny Goodman Story," teaching Steve Allen to play the clarinet for the title role. Join this star pupil of the famous Benny Goodman for Jazz hits and music from the "Old Country".

The Purple Pear Submitted by: brandon on Feb 28th 2006 Great ambience paired with friendly service, great food and large portion sized make the Purple Pear a great dining choice when in the Monsey, NY area. This restaurant fills the need for an upscale, hip, dare i say trendy dairy eatery to serve Monsey dwellers and other rockland county residents. I have returned several times for the mushroom medley fettucine dish... impeccably fresh and tasty, portion size and flavor very nice, hence a great value

Le Creperie Submitted by: JJ on Feb 21st 2006 Ate there tonight after reading all the great reviews on this site. I have to say, I was not dissapointed. The Crepes were delicious and the fish was unreal. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered. My only compaint is that for $30.00 I would expect more than 4 ounces of fish. Im eating again at home as I write this.
Essex on Coney Brooklyn Submitted by: CFO on Feb 21st 2006 After hearing from Harry that Essex was closed in June and consequently on my visits in September, November and December, I was glad to hear that Essex reopened and I was able to enjoy my favorite restaurant once again. Sunday night was packed, the wait for a table was nearly an hour but many loyal customers and those who know Essex toughed it out. Harry said they closed at 1:30am but he was happy to be open again.

Greta Restaurant Submitted by: Ken Schwartz on Feb 12th 2006 This is one of the best kosher restaurants I have ever gone too. Their steaks are unbelievable. The service is good. This is a place to try.
Grille De Paris Submitted by: Judith Baxter on Feb 12th 2006 We have eaten here on numerous occassions. The service is excellent and the food is on par or better with the best in manhattan. The potato flomp is unreal, the honey dijon salad with chicken and artichoke are awesome, the steaks are big enough to get full on and the baby ribs melt in your mouth. The decor is lovely and the atmosphere is very peaceful. Beats going to the city, fighting for a spot or paying for a garage just for dinner.
Try it, you will not be dissapointed.

Reply #1 submitted by: Elan Kornblum, Publisher on Feb 9th 2006 As with anything kosher, to each person kosher might be different. But here are the facts: The supervision is Rabbi Rafael Safra and they are not open on Shabbat. And the resturant says they are Glatt.

Reply #1 submitted by: sandy_gilford@comcast.net on Jul 12th 2007 Jody told me about your restaurant, and it sounds like the same QUALITY I remember, Gabe, when you used to go with me to shop at Real Foods, and make such delicious meals in my kitchen. I hope to get to Brooklyn sometime and enjoy a meal at Wendy's Plate. My daughter, Talia, is getting married, iy"H, on August 1 in Israel. Since just after Tod, a"h, passed away 8 years ago I've been teaching kindergarten, which I love. Good to see something of what you are doing now. I can imagine you have kids, and Wendy is your wife and paartner. Stay well, hatzlacha in everything!

Complete details at: http://boneiolam.info/
Dear Friends,
I am arranging a Scotch tasting for Bonei Olam. The tasting will take place Saturday night, February 18, 2006 at the Park East Grill located at 1564 Second Avenue, between 81st and 82nd Street in Manhattan. Bonei Olam is an organization whose mission is to help orthodox Jewish couples who are experiencing infertility. For information on Bonei Olam please visit their website at www.boneiolam.org.
Go to: http://boneiolam.info/ to find a flyer for the scotch tasting, as well as the preliminary list of scotches for tasting. There will be a raffle for the “Ultimate Scotch Collection” valued at over $1,200 and information for that is also included on the flyer. People can support Bonei Olam by sending in their minimum $100.00 donation for the event or for designated drivers a reduced fee of $40.00. I encourage you to confirm your reservation early as only a limited number of spaces are available. People who come to taste, will receive a tasting notebook and a Glencairn Glass for tasting.
In order to ensure that every penny raised at the event goes to Bonei Olam, we are offering sponsorship opportunities. People who graciously agree to sponsor a portion of the event, will be listed in the tasting book that will be given out at the event. The levels of sponsorship range from Bottle Sponsor ($100), Table Sponsor ($500) or Evening Sponsor ($1,000). Additionally there will be Platinum Sponsorships available for donations over $10,000.
