Enough with the imposters of kosher cuisine. Chef Mike from Mike's Bistro is the REAL DEAL!!! His dishes can compare with some of the best in THE WORLD!!! (Kosher and Non) If you haven't had a meal at Mike's Bistro yet you should not be able to comment on this site!!!

I don't like to eat out much because I really enjoy eating at home. But I don't know how to make sushi. This establishment is clean, friendly and I found the sushi fresh and I liked the presentation. The value was good too. I suggest checking it out.

You should check out a small restaurant in Norfolk VA called the Kosher place. It offers great sandwiches and dinner at a reasonable price. David, the owner knows his food and is very accomodating. Located in Ghent.

Beware when making a take out order. We made a large order for a party and many things were missing, when we called to verify the charges and confirm what was missing we were verbally abused by the manager who insisted that we were trying to rip them off. No attempt was made by them to correct our order or even verify what we were charged for. All I can say is that if you do make an order be sure you get what you paid for before you leave. And be prepared for a dose of real israeli arrogance if you have a problem.

The store manager can become defensive and quite rude if you complain. I've stopped patronizing this establishment; there are too many good Middle-Eastern restaurants in Brooklyn for me to have to submit to abuse.

You're best bet is to go to either of the Cho-Sen restaurants- they have one in Queens (Cho-Sen Garden), Five Towns (Cho-Sen Island) or Great Neck (Cho-Sen Village).

You can find their menus on our home page menu section or in their indivual page on this website.

Just be prepared that it will be busy, (maybe not so much the Great Neck one) so get there really early or really late. Their food is very good, but remember they might be limited because it's Pesach.

Overpriced. Staff should be more experienced! appetizers, soups and salads were all served at the same time, just piled on the table. Steaks were all bland and dry. Meal took 2.5 hours and we were the only ones there. Was not impressed at all!

Restaurants in Tel Aviv Kosher

Can any one recommend a good quality restaurant that is open on Seder Night under strict supervision within 10 mins walk of the Dan Tel Aviv Hotel?
Reply to this message
Reply #1 submitted by: Debbie Lampert, Eluna.com on Mar 28th 2006
The kosher restaurants are not open on Shabbat or on Chag. If you want to do a Seder out, you should try one of the hotels. Most of them have their own sedarim and they accept guests from outside the hotel. This should be arranged well in advance. The prices are very high, and you can expect to spend about $100 per person for the Seder dinner.
