We war five people having diner and the food was outstanding especially the dellmonika so tender and full of flavor, and the service was very nice and friendly, and the restaurant is beautiful, highly recommended but see the price before you order.

Overpriced. Staff should be more experienced! appetizers, soups and salads were all served at the same time, just piled on the table. Steaks were all bland and dry. Meal took 2.5 hours and we were the only ones there. Was not impressed at all!

Restaurants in Tel Aviv Kosher
Submitted by: Robert Gilbert on Mar 27th 2006
Can any one recommend a good quality restaurant that is open on Seder Night under strict supervision within 10 mins walk of the Dan Tel Aviv Hotel?

The kosher restaurants are not open on Shabbat or on Chag. If you want to do a Seder out, you should try one of the hotels. Most of them have their own sedarim and they accept guests from outside the hotel. This should be arranged well in advance. The prices are very high, and you can expect to spend about $100 per person for the Seder dinner.

Fu Xing is a great Kosher Chinese resturaunt. The service was really good and fast. The place was also very clean. The Chinese owner even speaks a little Hebrew!

We agree. We love the place. The prices are amazingly low, about the same as non-kosher. The owner does speak Hebrew, says she lived in Israel for 20 years.

Reply #2 submitted by: Calvin Korner on Mar 9th 2008
Fu Xing has high prices and service is not great, but is fast. Meat is not kosher and has been closed down for non-kosher meat.
Overall: horrible, terrible, a disaster

Grill De Paris
Submitted by: Frieda on Mar 9th 2006
Just went out to the Grill de Paris for the first time. i was a little hesitant but, WOW it is delicous. The presentation is so nice and the taste equally as good if not better. Unless you concentrate you really don't think that you are on kings highway in brooklyn. If you want a really nice dinner in a really nice restaurant this is the place to go from the wine to the entree right on through desert everything was outstanding.

I recently visited La Creperie and I can see why everyone raves about it! The service is excellent, the menu exciting and the ambience tasteful. The restaurant is known for its crepes but it has so much more to offer. I recommend the spinach quiche and I love being able to pair dairy dishes with the wide selection of wines that La Creperie has to offer. Don't miss the banana chocolate ice cream dessert. Yum! Go and Enjoy!

Hi,
1) I am planning a luncheon for my office on Wednesday 3/8, please make sure there is a waiter on staff, I will call you with exact number of people.
2) Certain people in the group have a strict diet of gluten free that means can't have no wheat, barely, oat or rye in their food even very small amount can cause an allergy reaction. Can you please make a gluten free menu?
Thanks, Rivka Ronay

This place is definitely worth it. Very good food at very reasonable prices and a very nice and quiet atmosphere. The only problem is that, as most kosher restaurants in Buenos Aires, it's not situated in a very nice area so it's not pleasant to go there for dinner.

Far from being a great restaurant, the food is just okay. But the place is situated in one of the ugliest areas in Buenos Aires, and the service in this restaurant is not good at all.

Bandstand Jazz Legend @ Wolf & Lamb
Submitted by: Wolf & Lamb on Feb 28th 2006
Wolf & Lamb is thrilled to welcome Sol Yaged this Wednesday night. Sol Yaged is truly a legend of New York. Sol Yaged has been a professional clarinet player since 1938. He was chosen as technical adviser for the movie The Benny Goodman Story (1956) and taught Steve Allen to play the clarinet for the film. Mr. Yaged turns back time, playing the same songs the same way he did a half-century ago. This is the Sol Yaged who hired the saxophonist Coleman Hawkins and the drummer Cozy Cole as sidemen and who wrote music for the film "The Benny Goodman Story," teaching Steve Allen to play the clarinet for the title role. Join this star pupil of the famous Benny Goodman for Jazz hits and music from the "Old Country".

The Purple Pear
Submitted by: brandon on Feb 28th 2006
Great ambience paired with friendly service, great food and large portion sized make the Purple Pear a great dining choice when in the Monsey, NY area. This restaurant fills the need for an upscale, hip, dare i say trendy dairy eatery to serve Monsey dwellers and other rockland county residents. I have returned several times for the mushroom medley fettucine dish... impeccably fresh and tasty, portion size and flavor very nice, hence a great value

Ate there tonight after reading all the great reviews on this site. I have to say, I was not dissapointed. The Crepes were delicious and the fish was unreal. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered. My only compaint is that for $30.00 I would expect more than 4 ounces of fish. Im eating again at home as I write this.

Essex on Coney Brooklyn
Submitted by: CFO on Feb 21st 2006
After hearing from Harry that Essex was closed in June and consequently on my visits in September, November and December, I was glad to hear that Essex reopened and I was able to enjoy my favorite restaurant once again. Sunday night was packed, the wait for a table was nearly an hour but many loyal customers and those who know Essex toughed it out. Harry said they closed at 1:30am but he was happy to be open again.
