Great place - probably the only one that serves Russian cuisine with a great hashgaha. Very polite service and super reasonable prices. Gratuities are included in the check.

Slice of Life
Submitted by: Diane Rosenfeld on May 26th 2007
I am looking for the email address to "Slice of Life" in Skokie, IL. to thank them for delicious carry out food and wonderful service on 3 occasions. Our first experience was on December 25, 2006. "Slice" was the only restaurant able to accommodate us. We needed carry out food for 12 people. I was able to order the same day. They delivered the food piping hot, on time and it was delicious. The second time we used them for carry out was for my twin grandchildren's bris/baby naming on Feb. 26. They worked with us on a menu. This time we ordered cold wraps, salads, etc... Again the food was delivered on time, it was delicious, plentiful and arranged beautifully. We again ordered from "Slice" on Mother's Day, and had the same wonderful experience. I really wanted to email the owners directly to share my compliments but could not find therir email address.

Jay and Lloyd's Kosher Deli
Submitted by: edm on May 21st 2007
Recommending Jay and Lloyd's, at 2718 Avenue U in Brooklyn. Excellent pastrami, a wide and varied menu that includes tasty vegetarian dishes. Try the knishes, the hot dogs, corned beef, and heart-shaped pickles. Delicious food, warm atmosphere. [Publisher's Note: This restaurant is open on Shabbos and is not glatt kosher].

Olympic Pita Brooklyn
Submitted by: A F on May 16th 2007
Their food is very good, service is O.k. But then things changed from the time I asked to check out, until I actually went out was a long 45 minutes, for no good reason. Why should I have to wait to PAY?!? We had a full meal soup entree e.t.c... in the end I wanted to pack only a little of my leftovers, so they packed my chumus/techinah salad with my mashed potato & mushroom with gravy, and my shwarma in one plate, now that will be a new food coming out mashed potato & chumus/techinah. Check it out coming soon on store shelves. They might as well just throw it in the garbage. I wouldn't go out to eat there, so much for a night out.....

Reply #2 submitted by: Elan Kornblum, Publisher on May 28th 2007
They're prices are a little higher than most Brooklyn restaurants but as the saying goes- "you get for what you pay for". And you get 45-day aged steaks, full open bar, beautiful upscale decor and overall a very nice experience. I was just there last night and they were pretty full.

We like the food at Muscat but the service is indifferent to just plain awful. The staff is nice but unattentive, untrained and consistently forgeting items requested. It is very frustrating that the owners and management can't train these folks to wait tables properly.

Prime Grill Beverly Hills
Submitted by: H. Rhee on May 1st 2007
Basic service and accomodities (i.e. water service, taking away empty glasses/plates) was not efficient and timely. The service was mediocre and the food was not placed properly because the runner did not know position numbers. I was not thrilled about the overall service.

LAS VEGAS KOSHER RESTAURANTS
Submitted by: ROBERT WEIL on Apr 23rd 2007
Could you please publish an updated COMPLETE list of Las Vegas kosher Restaurants. Also I have read about a Deli that has opened at the New York New York Casino. Is it actually Kosher or just Kosher Style? I am sending you this from Australia and would appreciate the information in the next 4 weeks as I will be in Las Vegas for 3 weeks from June. Thank You

You will fine an updated list of the 4 kosher restaurants in Las Vegas on this website.

In Las Vegas, there are 4 sit-down kosher restaurants and 1 pizza store (we don't feature pizza stores on this site). I have not heard of any deli kosher restaurant in the New York New York Casino.

If you are going to be in Vegas, it is a good idea to touch base with the Chabad of Las Vegas: Their website is: www.chabadlv.org
