Cafe Venezia's Food is to good for such a low price. i am gentile and they have the best pizza.

Reply #2 submitted by: DJS on Dec 11th 2007
You stated in your post that Cafe Venezia is too expensive for a "cafe" It is unfortunate that you are unable to tell the difference between an upscale, full service, authentic Italian restaurant and a local cafe. The prices are similiar to the other local Italian restaurants and the food is so much better @ Cafe Venezia.

Great Restaurant, with a superb menu... used to be very expensive i think they got a new owner and is offering a very affordable dinner special on Monday Tuesday and Wednesday - $29.95 per person
i think includes dinner salad and a desert.... which is pretty good thinking about it....

Enjoy! defiantly nicer than 98% of other meat Manhattan restaurants.

The restaurant is excellent. Service was vey good. To post a menu without prices on the website is false chic and poor marketing. Consumers are entitled to ask and know the prices.

1868 Restaurant & Bar
Submitted by: Steven Goldman on Nov 29th 2007
We had a superb meal at 1868, but your posted review is incorrect about the tasting menu, which we ordered. It does NOT include wine and is 7 courses, not 9! That said, the food and the presentation were excellent, and we were allowed to split our orders, so that not everyone at the table had to order the tasting menu in order for some to do so. The wine list is first-rate, but even by the glass very expensive and the goblet was only filled to one third, at most. Service, too, was excellent.

easily, one of the best kosher restaurants in the world -- you can ask for a 9-course menu (it's a the chef's discretion), and you can ask for wine-pairings. it's just more expensive.

According to restaurant, KYO is still glatt kosher
Submitted by: Elan Kornblum, Publisher on Nov 25th 2007
According to a posting on KYO's door last night, there is a horrible rumor going around that KYO is no longer under rabbinical supervision and that it was spread but a disgruntled fired employee.

Rav Yaacov Shlomo Gissinger, who has always been the superving rabbi for the restaurant, states in published reports that KYO is STILL under his supervision.

I know for a fact that the restaurant is still under the strict supervision of Rav Gissinger and there was NO lapse in the Hecsher.

That is a good idea and something that we have thought about for a long time but it's a very difficult process, especially with many of the restaurants not having the technology to accomodate and confirm it. But stay tuned.

Prime Grill New York
Submitted by: Howard A on Nov 17th 2007
Ate there 11/15/07- Bring plenty of money . . . The food was over priced . . $14 for a bowl of lack luster chicken soup . . . I had to send my steak back 2x to have it cooked "medium". 2 hours of parking in a nearby garage cost me only $69.

prime grill should learn that you don't need to charge a lot to offer good food. pathetic.

Reply #2 submitted by: Unhappy in downtown on Nov 21st 2007
I dragged 7-10 co-workers for a business dinner at prime grill. Reccomended a Kosher place since I was lead on the deal and was able to choose a restuarent. They stuck us at a corner table and the ac did not work well in AUGUST.

Till today (2 years lateer) I get snide remarks about the place.

Milk 'N Honey (NYC)
Submitted by: Dovid on Nov 17th 2007
I go there for the breakfasts. The bagels, eggs and pancakes are good. The hash browns are undercooked and underseasoned. During lunch, the staff taking orders aren't always able to manage, and can mix up orders. You can end up with the wrong item or missing an item.

During slack times, the staff aren't bussing the tables and wiping them down. As a result, you sometimes have to hunt for a relatively clean table.

Diamond Dairy of NY
Submitted by: Dovid on Nov 17th 2007
I have been going there for 10 years. The cholent on Thursday and Fridays is excellent, and the smaller-sized portion is enough for two. There are several specialty dishes listed but these aren’t always available, so be prepared to order something else. Service is fast, however. I don’t recall any of the staff mixing up an order or being unpleasant. The food is like home cooking but some items are blander than I would like. The borscht, for example, is always a disappointment; the other soups are better.

I’ve never had trouble getting a table. In fact, when it’s busy, the counter fills up before the tables do. If I am in a hurry, I will sit at the counter.

Miriam, great question. Actually, Village Steakhouse will be featured on our website shortly. I just spoke with the owner, Marc Attia, and he is very excited about his new steakhouse - it just opened last week.

Here's the info:
Located on 9440 West Sahara Avenue, Las Vegas, NV
(702) 838-8006, www.villagesteakhouse.net and they're opened for lunch and dinner.

I was just in Las Vegas and had a great meal at Village Steakhouse. Coming from Toronto, I thought the pricing was reasonable and the food was excellent.

The owner came by to make sure everything was fine and the service was excellent as well.

I definitely recommend this restaurant
